Coming into your new life means letting go of patterns and people who do not fit.
Many times, making room for our new selves and our lives is the most challenging part of the change. Why? Because it means letting go of old patterns and people we’ve become so attached to. These are things we label as safety only because they are familiar.
Growing and walking into the soulful change in your life doesn’t just happen. It takes going against the cycle you’ve stayed in most of your life, which can be scary and painful.
You may feel so uncomfortable now in your life and feel yourself unraveling – for me, this always means I am not allowing something to take place. I have become the block in a flowing stream that is life. Maybe my energy isn’t where it should be right now.
So, ask yourself. Why am I feeling like I’m coming undone while this change is trying to take place? Am I stopping this from happening in some way? What emotions arise when I think of a shift trying to take place and why?
Change doesn’t always mean everything you know of will be gone. It means it will look different. Maybe the people in your life are still there but are now positioned elsewhere. We know where we currently are (mentally, physically, spiritually, or emotionally) is bringing stress and frustration.
So, let’s gently encourage ourselves to step out of our cycle by looking at our fears and understanding them. Let understanding empower us to take the first step to change.
